Maxine Wezel, age 88, of Karval, Colorado, passed away and joined her husband on April 3rd, 2024.
Maxine was born on Buckeye Hill to Earl and Vera Harris on June 21, 1936. Her family moved south of Karval, Colorado, where she would live until the day she married her wonderful husband, Louis Wezel.
Maxine dedicated her life to raising her five wonderful children: Clinton, Kelvin, Carmen, Konda, and Kyle. If there was not money to buy what they needed, she made it. There was nothing she could not make. Her love for her children and husband could not match anyone else’s love. She would be there and stand tall with whatever was tossed her way. Her boys were a handful, so it would be a good month if something was not broken or hurt during that time. She taught her daughters how to make the world a better place with the way they loved. Her friendships that she had were also very strong. She would step up when friends were in need. Not matter what was going on in her life, she would make sure her friends were happy. She showed love and compassion all the time. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, God broke the mold when He made her.
Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents and her siblings, Phillis, Jay, Denny, Bruce and Marvin. She is survived by her brother, Ray, her five children, nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
