Nancy Werner

Nancy Joan Werner, 71 of Flagler, Colorado died at her home on October 26, 2010 with her husband at her side. Nancy was born on July 07, 1939 in Palco, Kansas to Russell and Edna (Thyfault) Towns one of two children. She attended school at Palco, Kansas and then went on to Fort Hays State College. Nancy married Vernon A. Werner in Zurich, Kansas on July 18, 1959 and the couple was blessed with three children. They retired in the town of Flagler, Colorado. They were happily married 51 years. Nancy loved being a partner to Vernon, where she loved being a homemaker and mother to their children. After the children were grown and out of the home Nancy loved being a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren. She was a member of the Mystical Rose Circle and enjoyed playing bridge, collecting glassware doing word games and reading books. Nancy loved to travel and enjoyed her flower gardens, especially the sunflowers. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Vernon Werner of Flagler, Colorado and their children; Glen Werner of Ludlow, Massachusetts, Russell and his wife Kathy Werner of Centennial, Colorado, and Keri Payne of Parker, Colorado. Nancy is also survived by her five grandchildren; Chelsea, Jesse, Ryan, Kurtis and Robby and one brother Therean and his wife Mary Towns of Palco, Kansas, along with many cherished friends.
