Odetta L. Pierce

Longtime Colorado resident Odetta L. Pierce passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Lincoln Community Care Center in Hugo, Colorado. She was 99 years old. Odetta was born on March 2, 1918 to Noah Benjamin and Stella May (Campbel) Kesler in Indiana. She was one of seven children born to this union. She attended school and graduated high school in Lafayette, Indiana. She married Fred E. Pierce on November 6, 1937 in Lafayette, Indiana. To this union three sons were born. Odetta was member of the Church of God in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In her free time she loved to read books, knit and make quilts. Odetta was preceded in death by her parents; Noah and Stella Kesler, her husband Fred E. Pierce and her six siblings. Those left to cherish her memories are her three sons; Billy Pierce, Eugene and wife Ellen Pierce, Charles and wife Mia Pierce, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. There are no services being held for Mrs. Pierce and she will be laid to rest in the Hugo, Cemetery.
