Oliver Franks

Oliver A. Franks, age 89, formerly of Hugo, Colorado passed away January 6, 2009 in Lakewood, CO. Oliver was born January 20, 1919 in Limon, CO to George W. and Stella A. (Woolum) Franks. He was the second oldest of nine children. Oliver joined the United States Army and served his country during World War II. Following his return he worked for Becker Truck Line in ElDorado, KS, and then for Boeing in Wichita, KS and was later transferred to Boeing in Everett, WA until his retirement. Oliver was married three different times and to these unions six children were born. Oliver enjoyed skating and riding motorcycles. Oliver was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael, daughter Mary, brothers Darrold, half brother J.R., sister Della May and Luella May. Oliver is survived by his children Ronald (Kay) Franks of Fanshawe, OK, Linda of CA, Sandy of CA, and Tom Clark of ElDorado, KS, siblings George W. Franks Jr of Ottawa, KS, Violet Pirkle of Placitas, NM, Helen Blazer of Limon, CO, and a half sister Dorothy Barchanger, of Anton, CO. Three grandchildren, five great grandsons, and four great granddaughters. A graveside services for Oliver A. Franks will be held Tuesday ~ January 13, 2009 ~ 2:15 P.M. Ft. Logan National Cemetery ~ Denver, CO Visitation will be held Tuesday ~ January 13, 2009 ~ 10:00 ~ 11:00 A.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel Limon, Colorado Memorial contributions may be made to Donors Choice
