Orva Briggs

Longtime Lincoln County resident, Orva Briggs, 59, of Hugo, Colorado passed away on April 14, 2015 at her home in Hugo. She was born to Orval Eugene and Zylpha U. (Snavley) Brown in Greeley, Colorado. Orva was in the middle of six girls, Orva’s nomadic family eventually settled in Kansas shortly after her birth, where she grew up until striking out on her own at 15 and moving back to Colorado. Orva moved all over Eastern Colorado from Burlington to Colorado Springs, Fountain, Walsenburg and Limon before settling in Hugo, Colorado where she has lived for the past 15 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Kerby and oldest sister Beth. Orva leaves behind her daughter, Christina and two grandsons; Jordan and Colin and her remaining four sisters; Evelynn, Zylpha, Ruby and Lorrie. No services will be held at this time.
