Park Mckim

Park Lee McKim, age 92, passed away September 30, 2009 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Park was born May 28, 1917 in Grant City, Missouri to Albert and Hattie (Cain) McKim. He was one of four children. Park and his family left Grant City on November 17, 1921. He spent much of the rest of his life in Simla, Colorado. Park accomplished several things but was mainly a cattleman and auctioneer throughout Colorado for many years. He married Genevieve Lorine Evans on September 1, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado. Their son, Gregory Lee McKim, was born September 1, 1950. Park is proceeded in death by his parents Albert and Harriet McKim; two brothers; Poe and Gordon McKim one sister; Treva McKim. Park is survived by his wife Genevieve McKim of Colorado Springs and his son Greg McKim of Aurora, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Park will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. A funeral service for Park Lee McKim will be held Monday ~ October 5, 2009 ~ 1:00 P.M. at the Simla United Methodist Church ~ Simla, CO Visitation will be held Sunday ~ October 4, 2009 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home Limon, Colorado.
