Pat Smiley

Patricia Colene (Irish) Smiley, age 63 of Limon, CO passed away January 16, 2008. Pat was born in Denver, Colorado on March 17, 1944 to Roscoe and Cecile (Trammel) Irish one of two children. The family moved to Limon when Pat was in the seventh grade. Pat attended and graduated from Limon High School in 1962. She then attended Colorado Women’s College in Denver graduating in 1964 with an ascociates degree. Pat married Larry Smiley on June 14, 1964 in Denver, Colorado. They moved to the family farm and ranch near Limon and were blessed with two children. Pat was a member of the Limon United Methodist Church where she was a former church secretary, and sang in the church choir for several years. She enjoyed shopping and worked as a loan secretary for the First National Bank of Hugo-Limon. Pat was preceded in death by her parents. Pat is survived by her husband Larry Smiley of Limon, CO. A son Brent and wife Kim and their daughter Jamie Smiley of Elkhorn, WI; a daughter Danette and husband Sean and their sons Chandler and Collin Jackson of Bayfield, CO; a brother Tim and wife Sandy Irish of Omaha, NE. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Patrick Irish of Omaha, NE, Kelsey Irish of Chicago, Il, Court and wife Kim and their daughters Jaden, and Ella of Omaha, NE as well as many nieces and nephews from Larry’s family. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2007 at the Limon United Methodist Church with Pastor’s Frank and Linda Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon, CO. A book signing will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. January 18, 2008 at the Love Funeral Home in Limon, CO.
