Patrecia (Pat) Ann Frank of Rush, Colorado entered her forever home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 5, 2023. Pat was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on May 24, 1936, to Arnold and Lois Stinson. After high school she worked as a switchboard operator until rotary phones replaced the switchboards. In the summer of 1964, she and a girlfriend headed west to meet a “rich” cowboy. Their plans led them to Colorado Springs where she soon met Pete Frank (a poor farmer who was rich in character), and they were married in February of 1965. Their son, Paul, was born in December of 1965 and daughter, Penny, in July of 1967.
Pat grew to love her new life in the Rush community; over the years she was active in programs at Kendrick Bible Church, The Truckton Ladies Club, The Tri-County Women’s Auxiliary, El Paso County Farm Bureau, El Paso County Republicans. She was devoted to taking care of her family by spending hours gardening, canning, sewing, and keeping house. Her passions became cross-stitching and quilting, and many friends and family members received a gift of one or the other over the years. Her favorite past-time became her grandkids. Pat could be found cheering her loudest at every ball game that her grandkids were involved in. She also attended dozens of piano recitals even though her hearing loss prevented her from enjoying the music.
Patrecia is survived by her son, Paul Frank (Elizabeth), and daughter Penny Frank, both of Rush, Colorado; sisters Virgina Pernar, Mary Butt, Chris Cameron, Beth Schiller, and Michelle Rounding, all from Michigan; Grandchildren Greg Frank (Erica) of Colorado Springs, Jenna Henry (Caleb) of Fort Worth Texas, Rebecca Weiland (Joel) of Louisville, Kentucky, Eric Frank of Colorado Springs; great-grandchildren, Cody and Dustin Frank, Navani and Kaladin Henry, and Lily and Teddy Weiland.
