Patricia Ann Younger passed away on August 8, 2018. Pat was born in St Paul, MN to Charles and Theresa Hinz on May 12, 1940. Her formative years were spent in the St Paul, MN area. Pat grew up on a farm with 12 brothers and sisters where she was involved in gardening, canning, 4-H, sewing and farming. She graduated from North St Paul High school and was crowned Ms. North St Paul beauty queen.
She married John O’Dwyer and had 3 children, Bart, Mike and Janice. The family then moved to Golden, CO in 1968. Pat moved to Limon, CO and met Bob Younger. They married on December 12, 1973 and with this union came the addition of children Randy and Bobbi Younger.
Bob and Pat had several family-owned businesses, the largest being Southside. Limon experienced a devastating tornado in 1990 in which the restaurant was destroyed. Bob and Pat felt that it was important to keep the iconic family-owned restaurant as part of the community and decided to relocate it to Main Street. They owned the family business for 40 years where they established many great relationships with the local community.
They were avid supporters of their children and grandchildren and the Limon Badgers.
She enjoyed china painting, stain glass and made several quilts for her kids and grandkids. Pat was an accomplished seamstress and made numerous baby blankets for people in the community, along with multiple prom dresses, wedding dresses, twirling uniforms and fur coats.
They treasured their time at the lake and spent many years fishing and enjoying each other. Pat took great pride in knowing that she caught the biggest fish in all of their time at the lake.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Theresa Hinz, Brothers Phil and Don Hinz, nephew Kelly Hinz, her father and mother-in law Dean and Margaret Reynolds and sister in-law Mary Margaret Hamilton.
Pat is survived by her husband Bob Younger, her 5 children: Bart (Teresa) O’Dwyer, Randy (Erin) Younger, Mike (Trudy) O’Dwyer, Bobbi (Rocky) Veach, Janice (Donny) DeGroot, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 10 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
