Ramona Hanson

December 19, 1950 — June 20, 2007

Ramona Kay (Newcomb) Hanson passed away on June 20, 2007 in her home in Limon, CO. Ramona was born to Herman and Helen (Shimek) Newcomb in December 19, 1950 in Lusk, WY one of six children. She grew up in Limon graduating from Limon High School in 1969 then went on to attend six years of college. Ramona married Timothy Hanson on October 27, 1979 in Funks Grove, Illinois. Ramona loved arts and crafts and doing puzzles she also loved to read. Ramona and Tim were able to get into the Price is Right show for their 25th wedding anniversary. She traveled to 48 states and two providences of Canada. Ramona was an international peace worker, a missionary assistant in Mexico she was active in kids club, puppet ministries and religious clubs during college. She enjoyed bowling club and returning students club. Before marriage Ramona traveled to the Holy Land, Rome, Greece hearing the Pope speak in Rome and tasted the Dead Sea. Ramona was preceded in death by her father, one brother & Tim’s parents Ramona is survived by her husband Timothy Hanson of Limon, CO, mother Helen Newcomb of Limon, CO, brothers; Morris Newcomb of Limon, CO, Michael Newcomb of Spokane, WA and Marty and his wife Gloria Newcomb of Limon, CO, and one sister Mary Ann and husband Ray Johnson of Limon, CO numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A private graveside service will be held at the Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon, CO. Memorials may be made to the Limon Boy Scouts or the Limon Volunteer Ambulance Fund.
