Randal J. Southwell was born in Monterey, California, on August 17, 1959, to Robert J. Southwell and Barbara C. Anderson. Randal passed away on January 21, 2024.
Randal served in the United States Marine Corps. He married the love of his life Tracy Southwell in 2002.
Randal was an avid outdoorsman and wanted to be like Grizzly Adams. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap shooting; he loved the outdoors. He was a lover of animals and always had room for more. He loved Elvis Presley and dancing in the kitchen on Sundays.
Randal was a sanitation engineer for 25 years. He firmly believed the slogan, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” His sense of humor was colorful and he enjoyed making others laugh. He will be missed by all his family and friends, even more so by his wife, daughter, and grandchildren.
Randal is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara C. Southwell, and his father, Robert J. Southwell.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tracy Southwell, Byers, CO; daughter, Shartyse Pumfrey (Chad), of Lincoln, IL; grandchildren: Aria, Hannah, and Logan; his siblings, Vicky Ramos (Leroy), of Thornton, CO; Lynn Bott-Nelms (Mike), of Thornton, CO; and Gary Southwell of Byers, CO. Also nephews, Jacob Ramos (Amanda), Joshua Ramos, Jeremy Bott (Erin), Jesse Bott (Andrea), Joseph Southwell (Liz), Jon Southwell (Jacqueline) and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
