Richard Thomas

Richard Lee Thomas, age 67, of Calhan, CO passed away at his home on September 13, 2010. He was born January 8, 1943 in Colorado Springs, CO to Alfred and Floy Nolita Thomas, one of five children. Richard graduated from Agate High School and married Lorena Faye Wallace in Kiowa, CO on November 16, 1961. To this union a son, Allan, and daughter, Vicky, were born. Richard loved ranching and working with the cattle it was his true calling. Working outside with the animals was work but Richard looked at it more like a hobby. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. When he wasn’t traveling he enjoyed following his children and grand children’s games especially basketball games. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Darrell, and his sister, JoAnne Stoddard. He is survived by his wife, Lorena Faye; his son, Allan Thomas of Calhan, CO; his daughter, Vicky (Jeffrey) McGuirk of Calhan, CO; his brothers, Art (Judy) Thomas of Arizona and Lloyd Thomas of Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tiffany, Darien, Donovan and great grand daughter, Ariah and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
