Rose Gibson

Burlington, Colorado and former Portales, New Mexico resident, Rose A. Gibson passed away on March 25, 2015 at the Grace Manor Care Center in Burlington. She was 80 years old. Rose was born on October 12, 1934 in Grady, New Mexico to William L. Box and Mary Catherine Kos. She was one of six children born to this union. She attended school in Floyd, New Mexico and graduated high school from Floyd High School in 1951. Rose was the mother of seven children; David, Stanley, Steve, Dan and Don, Pattie, and Kenneth. Later in life she met and married William Gibson. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Don, husband Willie Gibson, two brothers and two sisters. Those left to cherish her memories are sons; David Ruther and Marianne Doyle of Bethune, Colorado, Stanley Ruther of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Steve and Carla Ruther of Enid, Oklahoma, Dan Ruther of Lubbock, Texas, Pattie Hume of Clovis, New Mexico and Kenneth Ruther of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
