Sandra Lord

Biography Sandra “Sandy” Rae Lord was born September 26, 1945 in Burlington, CO to William G. and Mildred Peters. She passed away on May 3, 2011 in Burlington. Sandy attended school in Burlington. In 1963 she married William Richardson and had three children; Delbert, Kim and Eric. In 1983 she married John Lord whom became the love of her life while she worked at the local cable office. She then lived in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Her husband John passed away in 1990 from a terminal disease. Sandy decided to move back to Burlington to be close to her family. Sandy worked for Herman Construction as a secretary and then went to Alco for many years where she worked until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved to read which was her main hobby, and also loved to hear a good joke and enjoyed sharing them. Preceding her in death was her father William Peters, husband John Lord, and brother in law Oby Barnes. Sandy is survived by her Mother Mildred Peters of Burlington, Sister Donna Barnes of Burlington, Half Sister Marcia (Roger) Kliesen of Stratton. Son: Delbert, wife Valerie Richardson of Sterling, CO, Shane & Julia; Daughter: Kim Richardson of St. Louis, MO Kelly and Jaz; Son: Eric, wife Kristine Richardson of Burlington, Mitchell, Justine and Garrett. As well a host of many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
