Sharon and her twin sister Karen were born in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 30,1955 to Charles and Lucille Fraser. Shortly thereafter they moved to Japan. Her Father Charles was a cook in the Air Force. They resided in Japan for 6 years. Their next move was to Missouri to the Air Force base. They stayed in Missouri for 3 years. After that her father retired from the Air Force and they moved to Green Mountain Falls Colorado. The family bought a grocery store which they operated for approximately 4 years. They then decided they wanted to venture out and purchase their own family business, a restaurant. They purchased the Crystola Inn in Crystola CO. They had that venture for nearly 2 years. By this time Sharon was in the 8th grade and well, as it goes the family decided to make another move. They moved to Woodland Park CO and purchased the Brazen Head restaurant. This restaurant was completely family run. Everyone had a hand in doing everything. Her father Chuck was the cook and her mother Lucille, along with Sharon and her sisters, were the hostesses and waitresses. All her years of high school Sharon worked there. Midsummer 1973 Greg moved to Woodland Park. And as fate would have it in October of that year, he met Sharon. Let’s just say that Sharon’s husband was picked by her father Chuck ( a Kansas Farmer). March 3rd of 1974 they joined hands in marriage, Greg and Sharon that is.....not Greg and Chuck!
They welcomed their first child on August 27, 1974. A daughter Brandy Lynn. February of 1975 they purchased their first home in Westcreek CO. On June 30, 1975 They welcomed their second child, a son Andrew John. They resided there until Spring of 1976, then moved to Calhan CO. Sharon was the best and busiest stay at home mom!! She was not only mom to their own children, but all of the neighborhood kids as well. And we mustn’t forget about the duck that we had too!! In 1982 Sharon and Greg had made the decision to move to the family’s dairy farm north of Calhan. Sharon became a farmers wife. She loved her baby calves! Morning and night you could find her tending to them and bottle feeding them all by hand. She loved to cook and bake and always had plenty for whoever might show up throughout the day or evening. You could always count on a friendly and cheerful “HELLO” along with a hug no matter who walked through the door!! Her grandkids Brittany, Jacob and Blake were her pride and joy!! Each one will always hold a very special place in her heart, along with her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
