Shirley Brown

Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident Shirley Elaine Brown, 88, died Saturday February 23, 2008 at the Cherry Creek Nursing Home in Aurora, Colorado. Shirley was born December 29, 1919 in Olustee, Oklahoma to William James and Ulela (Francher) Drury. She married Everett Brown in Altus, Oklahoma in 1940. Shirley worked as a bookkeeper 10years for Burlington Builders. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Everett two sons Jay and Martin Brown, three brothers and two sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Dale Robert Brown of Parker, CO, Marcie Roman of Aurora, Co, Nathan Brown of Security, Co, Mark Brown of Carrollton, TX. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Logan Brown, Dru Brown, Baylor Brown and daughters-in-law Sandy Brown and Diane Brown. Graveside services for Shirley will be Thursday February 28, 2008 at the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington, Colorado. Pastor Bill Viergutz officiating. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Love Funeral Home in Burlington. A memorial fund has been established in her name and may be left at or sent to the Bank of Burlington in Burlington, CO.
