Steven Evanoika Jr., 74 of Ramah, CO passed away on April 17, 2007 in Prescott, AZ.
Steven was born on June 20, 1932 in Ramah, CO to Steve and Anna (Eurich) Evanoika one of five children.
Steven married Rita Trojanovich on October 24, 1959 at Saint Maryâs Holy Dormition Orthodox Church in Calhan, CO and to this union two children were born ; Steven and Melanie.
Steven was on the Board of Directors of Natural Resource Double LL Soil District, and a past board member of the St. Maryâs Holy Domition Orthodox Church. Steven enjoyed his cattle and planting trees on his ranch. He was very inventive and creative with the various welding projects around the ranch. Steven loved a social gathering and was always there to help his neighbors and friends.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rita Evanoika of Ramah, CO, son Steven and his wife Peggy of Trucker, CA; daughter, Melanie and husband Mike Roswald and their children Devon, DaeLynne and Dani of Ramah, CO. Steven is also survived by his brothers; George (Betty) Evanoika of Peyton, CO; Ted (Carole) Evanoika of Calhan, CO; David (Peggy) Evanoika of Montrose, CO; one sister Elizabeth (Ray) Brooks of Peyton, CO numerous nieces, nephews, sister and brother-in-laws, cousins and extended family.
A Funeral service for Steven will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the Saint Maryâs Holy Dormition Orthodox Church in Calhan, CO with Father Lawrence Gaudreau officiating. Interment will follow at Sproch Cemetery in Ramah, CO.
Parasta will be held Monday, April 23, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. at the Saint Maryâs Holy Dormition Orthodox Church in Calhan, CO.
