Tammy Jo Parker
November 28, 1975 - December 16, 2023
Tammy Jo Parker was born on November 28, 1975, and passed away on December 16, 2023, and will rejoin her mother, Betty Elaine Quick Smith, father, Tommy Joel Smith, and her sister, Sonja Bonnell Smith, who passed away at six months old. Tammy Jo will also be reunited with her son, Tommy Jo Smith, who unfortunately passed away at birth, but was never and will never be forgotten. Tammy Jo was blessed with and is survived by her children, Samantha Elaine Smith Hayes (Lee) of Stratton, Colorado, Waverly Paige Smith of Madison, Georgia, and Zackery Dean Parker (Polina) of Buford, Georgia. One of the greatest gifts Tammy Jo has left on his Earth is her four grandchildren, Michael Alexander Hayes (9), Liam Patrick Hayes (6), Anthony James Smith (3), and Arya Katherine Hayes (4 months). Unfortunately, Tammy will miss the birth of Waverly’s second child, expected in May and Zackery’s first born, expected in July. Tammy Jo enjoyed her childhood years, growing up with her aunts, uncles and cousins. She truly enjoyed life, loving animals and nature. Tammy Jo was an artist at heart, making art and glass blown items, and often was able to sell them to local stores and community festivals. Tammy Jo, along with her husband, Dean Parker (separated), and children enjoyed spending time outside fishing, camping and just going to the park as a family. They attended Lilburn Christian Church together and participated in many activities there. After separating, Tammy Jo spent her remaining days with Mark Hunt, living in Macon, Georgia and then moved to Colorado together, and quickly became part of the church community at Heritage Baptist Church, in Stratton before moving to Burlington. Tammy Jo will be missed by her children, family, and many friends.
