It is with great sadness that the family of Tara Ann Barnhill announce her unexpected passing and the passing of her 19 week old unborn baby girl, Evelyn. Tara was 35 when she died on September 26, 2022.
She was born June 22, 1987, in Denver, Colorado, to Richard Barnhill and Candice Aten. She graduated from Elizabeth High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Platte College. Illness sidelined a brief nursing career and she was able to become a homemaker who loved being an aunt to Sammantha, Jakob, Ryick and Elijah, helping those less fortunate, and learning about medicine in other cultures. She was talented in applying makeup and creating hairstyles and took great pride in her personal appearance. But, most of all, she was extremely excited about becoming a mother.
Tara and Baby Evelyn will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Jonathon Lee. The two were married July 17, 2021, and were celebrating the happy news that their family would be welcoming a little girl in February.
Tara is survived by her husband, Jon, and siblings Ashley Barnhill (Albert Baker), John (Kimberly) Reker, Jay(Sabrina) Aten, Brett(Amanda) Aten, Jonathan (Teresa) Aten; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Candice; grandparents, Jay and Dorothy Aten, and Marvin and Ann Barnhill.
A Memorial Service will be held: Friday, October 14, 10:00 a.m. Mountain View Fellowship 1955 Headlight Road, Strasburg, Colorado Memorial Contributions may be made by check payable to the Tara Barnhill Memorial Fund.
