Terry Eugene Hasenbalg

Terry Eugene Hasenbalg, 73, of Simla, Colorado passed away on November 15, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side. Terry was born October 30, 1943 in Mesa, Arizona to Leroy Jerold and Martha Irene (Flanagan) Hasenbalg, one of four children. He grew up in the Simla area, graduating from Simla High School in 1961. Terry married Rebecca Sue Wilks in 1964 in Englewood, Colorado and to this union five daughters were born; Cindy, Kathy, Wendy, Brandy, and Kristy. Terry enjoyed anything with an engine and spent endless hours in his private garage tinkering with his numerous projects. His passion for engines led to refurbished trucks and cars, stock car racing, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, and boating. Terry held various jobs, he worked 32 years with Hamacher Well Works, built his own windmill and trucking company, and worked as an auto mechanic for Elbert County. Terry proudly served many years with Simla Volunteer Fire department as an EMT and Firefighter. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Hasenbalg and brother, Randy Hasenbalg. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Sue Hasenbalg and children; Cindy Hasenbalg (Renee) of Hughesville, Maryland; Kathy Hamacher (Horst) of Elizabeth, Colorado; Wendy Hasenbalg (Stacey) of Greenville, North Carolina; Brandy Swennes (Dane) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kristy Smith (Dave) of Loveland, Colorado. Eight grandchildren: Brittany Wickard, Joshua Hamacher (Bailie), Mikala Hamacher, Taylor Swennes, Zachery Swennes, Dylan Hasenbalg, Brandon Smith and McKenna Smith. A great granddaughter Brooklynn Wickard, great grandson Brody Hamacher, as well as his mother, Martha Hasenbalg of Simla; brother, Glenn Hasenbalg of Aurora, Colorado, and sister, Nancy Atwater of Limon, Colorado and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
