Thomas Lemley

Aaron Thomas “Tom� Lemley age 66 of Simla, Colorado passed away January 4, 2007 at his ranch near Simla. Tom was born April 13, 1940 to Aaron B. and Freda (Kuzma) Lemley on the family ranch. Tom grew up on the ranch and attended school in Simla, where he graduated in 1958. After high school,Tom married Sharon Vernie. To this union a son, Mike, was born. Tom worked for Decker Cole and Kiewit Corporation as a mechanic. In 1993, Tom changed careers and moved from Sheridan, Wyoming back to the family ranch were he resided until his death. Tom was a member of the Sheridan Wyoming Elks Lodge and the American Quarter Horse Association. Tom was an avid horseman and enjoyed horseback riding as well as breeding and training horses. He also raced chariots and qualified for the World Chariot Competition. He enjoyed woodworking, leather working, hunting, fishing and camping. Tom collected antique tractors and small cars and tractors. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Cooper. Tom is survived by his son Mike and his wife Nolana Lemley and their daughter Sarah Belle all of Simla, Colorado. One sister, Barbara M. Lemley of Simla, Colorado. Cousins Donald Lemley of Simla, Colorado, Eddie and Vernie Lemley of Simla, Colorado, Barry and wife Tonya Lemley and family of Arapahoe, Colorado, Monty and wife Margie Martinez Lemley and family of Greeley, Colorado, Donna and husband David Pylypczuk and family of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Limon with Pastor Peter Casillas, officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth Colorado. Public visitation will be held Monday, January 8, 2007 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Limon.
