Trent Seat

Trent Arron Seat was born October 12, 1979 in La Junta, Colorado to Terry and Dana Seat. Trent passed away December 17, 2009. Trent began his life south of Las Animas, Colorado where he attended Memorial Elementary. In 1987 he moved to Commerce City, Colorado where he attended first grade and then moved back to Las Animas the following year. He finished up elementary school at Columbian Elementary. In 1992 he moved to Stratton, Colorado where he attended Stratton Middle/High School. He graduated from Stratton High School in 1999 and went on to attend two years at Colby Community College in Colby, Kansas. Trent loved the agriculture part of life. He was a 10-year member of 4-H where he loved to show steers and horses and was a member of the Merry Mixers 4-H Club in Kit Carson County and also a member of the 4 Leaf Clover judging team in Bent County. He was also a member of Cocklebur Commerce Rodeo and a member of the Little Britches Rodeo Association. Trent enjoyed being part of the Stratton wrestling team and Stratton High School football team. He loved to encourage others and supported everyone. One of his favorite things to do was to team rope in the backyard practice arena at home with friends and family. He loved the cowboy way of life. Whether it was telling Wild West stories or doing the everyday chores, he loved to bring a smile everybody’s face. He was always there for everyone with an open ear and would lend a helping hand to anyone. Trent worked at various Feedlots throughout the area. He loved this field of work because it allowed him to ride horses and work around livestock. No matter rain, snow or shine, you would always catch him with a big smile. In 2006, he met and fell in love with Kristin Moore and were later united in marriage on June 23, 2007. They began their live together in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They later moved to Canyon, Texas where Trent continued his career as a cowboy. They later moved back to Colorado to be closer to family. Trent loved his family and friends and cherished all the moments he had with them. He was a reader at a young age and continued to be throughout his life. One of his favorite authors and artists was Charles Russell, and he could tell you the name of each painting and book. Trent was loveable and kind hearted and was always fun to be around, with never a dull moment. He will be missed by all. Trent is preceded in death by his Grandmother and Grandfather Clodfelter and his Grandmother and Grandfather Seat. He is survived by his wife Kristin of Pueblo West, Colorado, his parents Terry and Dana Seat of Stratton, Colorado, his brother and sister and their spouses, Tead and Jaclyn Seat, of Sterling, Colorado, Tiana and Cody Beeson of Stratton, Colorado, Great Grandmother Ruby Sniff of Lamar, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
