Vera Daniel

View Video Tribute Vera Marjorie Daniel, age 78 of Arriba, Colorado passed away November 10, 2006 in Arriba. Vera was born November 17, 1927 in Trego County, Kansas to Orla E. and Marie (Ward) Shade. Vera married Richard E. Daniel on April 16, 1955 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Vera was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Limon, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Flagler, and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hugo. She enjoyed card parties and Jam sessions at the Atlasta Park in Yuma, Arizona where she spent the winter months. Vera enjoyed flowers and gardening. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Earl, Elmer and Glen, and one granddaughter Christine Daniel. Vera is survived by her husband Richard of Arriba, CO, two sons Dale and wife Jennifer Daniel of Ft. Collins, CO and Duane and wife Rita Daniel of Arriba, CO and one daughter Marie Daniel of Flagler, CO. She is also survived by one brother Lawrence Shade of Loveland, CO and seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Limon with Father George Fagan Officiating. Burial followed in the Arriba Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Vera Daniel Memorial Fund in care of the First National Bank of Stratton 141 Colorado Ave. Stratton, CO 80836.
