Virginia Elpers

Virginia Mae Elpers, 76, of Strasburg, Colorado passed away on July 9, 2014. Virginia was born to Arthur and Crystal (Lackey) Ritter on January 29, 1938 one of three children. She grew up in the Deer Trail area graduating from Deer Trail High School in 1956. Virginia married Urban Elpers on September 14, 1957. The couple was blessed with five children. She loved her family and was very active in their lives attending all their activities. Virginia loved baking, sewing and gardening; she enjoyed reading Louis L’Amour books. She loved collecting windmills and snowmen. Virginia also had a very strong faith in the Lord. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, June. She is survived by children; Denice Elpers (Jim) of Silt, Colorado, Diana (John) Alesch of Huntley, Illinois, Naomi (Mike) Stumpf of Illiff, Colorado, Nancy (John) Becker of Byers, Colorado and Eldon (Traci) Elpers of Strasburg, Colorado. Virginia is also survived by her sister Lois (John) Lovelace of Olathe, Kansas, thirteen grandchildren and 3 ½ great grandchildren.
