Wayne Boland

Biography Wayne J. Boland passed away July 27, 2012 at the Cheyenne Manor in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado at the age of 90 years. He was born November 30, 1921 in Burlington to Arthur J. and Viola Boland. Both parents precede him in death as well as his brother, Harold and his only son, James Robert. On April 8, 1960 Wayne and Bonnie Rehfeld were united in marriage and had been married for 52 years at the time of his demise. His children, Jim (James Robert) and Sharon Lee, were from a previous marriage. Wayne became a welder, an electrician and for 29 years he was the director at the USDA ASCS (FSA) office in Cheyenne County. In 1982 he retired and began the next chapter of his life with his wife, Bonnie. He was an avid fisherman, trap shooter, hunter and loved bowling. The Masonic Lodge and the United Methodist Church were life-long commitments. Those left to carry on are Bonnie of the home; daughter, Sharon Chatfield of Fruita, CO, grandchildren; Max Chatfield and Tina (Shane) Hart of Fruita, CO; great-grandchildren; Journey Lee and Treasure Hart. Sister-in-law; Liz Rehfeld - Lamar, CO and nieces/nephews; Don Boland and Betty Jane (Doug) Chandler both of Burlington, Scott (Helen) Rehfeld - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, Ron (Lisa) Rehfeld - Arapahoe, CO, Brenda (Bruce) Fickenscher – Chivington, CO, Tina (George) McDonald - Cheyenne Wells. And great nieces/nephews; Tyrell(Angie, Joseph, Maxine and Krystal) Fickenscher - Axtell, NE, Megan (Heath, Raylee, and Brinley) Bachman - Merna, NE, Brandon, Jessica and Tawna McDonald - Cheyenne Wells, CO, Erin Rehfeld – Denver, CO, Samara Rehfeld – Lawrence, KS and Thomas Rehfeld – Arapahoe, CO and Jennifer (Paul & Symyra, Torrean and Zyree) Weinrauch – Westminister, CO.
