Wilfred Dreher

Longtime Stratton, Colorado resident and former Kirk, Colorado resident, Wilfred Andrew Dreher passed away on March 11, 2011 at the Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital in Burlington. He was 88 years old. Wilfred was born on December 6, 1922 in Schoenchen, Kansas to Conrad Fred Dreher and Josephine Werth. He was one of sixteen children born to this union. On May 4, 1943 he married Virginia Anna Kellerman at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton, Colorado. To this union there were seven children born. Wilfred was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, a 60 year member of American Legion in Keenesburg, Colorado and a member of AA for 53 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, six brothers, two sisters and a son-in-law, Ray Schott. He is survived by his children; Frank (Carolin) Dreher of Kirk, Colorado, Carolyn (Roger) Crawford of Commerce City, Colorado, Bev Schott of Stratton, Colorado, LaVern (Rick) Kersnick of Commerce City, Colorado, Tony (Billie) Dreher of Kirk, Colorado, Conrad (Mary) Dreher of Morrison, Colorado and Mike (Phyllis) Dreher of Stratton, Colorado. He is also survived by 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 24 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
