Wilma Woller

Wilma Delphine (Wilkinson) Woller went to be with The Lord on Saturday October 13, 2012 at Grace Manor Care Center in Burlington, CO. She was born August 14th 1928 to Roy and Margaret(Zrubek) Wilkinson on a farm north of Vona. She attended various country schools and always helped her parents on the farm. Wilma held a multitude of jobs and enjoyed helping other people. She met Carl Woller while working at the sale barn in Burlington. They were married on December 5th, 1948 in Stratton, CO. To this union 5 children were born: Sharon (deceased), Carlton, Jr. (Ace), Stanley, Cathleen, and Susan. When her children were young Wilma was a Sunday School superintendent at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stratton, CO and worked at the grocery store in Vona, CO. Cooking and baking were passions of Wilma’s. Wilma will always be remembered for her baking and canning skills. She was famous for her delicious cinnamon rolls that she baked for many seasons for Bonny Marina. Wilma also enjoyed decorating cakes for her grandchildren in their younger years. She cooked for many children over the years at the Vona Elementary School and she also cooked at the Golden Prairie Inn in Stratton. Wilma enjoyed gardening, embroidery, collecting bells, cooking, antiques, yard sales, auctions and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren have many fond memories of card games, water fights and shopping trips to Goodland, KS. She held membership in various organizations: Vona Worthwhile extension Club, Vona Town Council, Republican Party, Kit Carson County Carousel Association and American Cancer Society of Kit Carson County. In early retirement, Wilma and Carl attended several trips with a group of senior citizens from Kit Carson County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Margaret , Daughter Sharon, Daughter –in-law Kathy, sister in law Priscilla, infant brother, Brother Lloyd, Sister Thelma and husband Wayne Cushing and sister Arlene. Wilma is survived by her husband Carl of Vona, children: Son Carlton Jr. (Ace) , Son Stan & friend Janet , daughter Cathleen, daughter Susan and Eddie Kiefer all of Stratton. Grandchildren: Scott Trimm of Cabot AR, Michelle Woller-Thompson & Duane Wright of Stratton, Fred & Kim Woller of Stratton, Kristy Woller of Colby, KS, Jeanie and Brian Tracy, Justin and Rylana Woller all of Burlington, Brian Woller of Highlands Ranch and Vickie and Jason Duffey of Colby, KS. Great- grandchildren: Brittany Yoes, Cody and Brooke Woller, Courtney, Lauren and Dawson Thompson all of Stratton. Hunter & Kaitlyn Tracy, Hayden and Emmery Woller all of Burlington, and Korrynne Duffey of Colby, KS. Wilma is also survived by her brother Loren Wilkinson of Colorado Springs, brother Earl and wife Gloria of Denver, sister Helen Gyer and friend Bill Dawson of Irving, TX, Virginia Wilkinson of Goodland, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.
